It's been a very trying weekend for me - B-rad was off with his brothers/dad for their annual Guys Only fishing trip and of course, this is when Artoo decides to spend all weekend with a fever.
My sister in law came and took Chewie for the weekend and i was left with my sick little man who kept spiking up to 100 degrees or so, the highest was 103.6 but i was able to bring it back down with some drugs.
I hardly slept all weekend, because Artoo was up quite a bit, and would only sleep in bed with me, which didn't really provide a restful sleep for yours truly.
Saturday night, i was blessed with a migraine headache - the icing on the cake. They often take me a day or so to recover from. Was i ever glad when B-rad showed up to pick up Artoo and take him to his parents place for Father's Day BBQ.
So: here's some photos from this week before we get to the challenge

Weekly Challenge #75: "Tanglation Nation: Cadent"
A Tanglation Nation challenge is an exercise in experimenting with a particular tangle to create variations or tanglations. It does not need to specifically be a monotangle, (a monotangle is an entire piece or tile done with only ONE tangle and/or variations of said tangle) i just find it becomes more of a 'study' of a particular pattern when i do it as a monotangle. This week is the study of 'Cadent'.
I love Cadent. It's one of those tangles that looks complicated, but really isn't. I teach it in all my beginner classes, and i get such a kick from those moments where people say: "I can't draw that" and how their faces light up when they discover that - yes, they can!
You can see directions to this tangle here
B-rad affectionately calls this one "The Scroll-y One"
Also, i KNOW that someone out there named the tanglation in the top left of my tile but i'm sorry, i don't remember who it was and what she named it. (Eep!! sorry!!!)
I went back and checked my book of tangles, and i think i found it - the Swirly Tangleation was designed by Denyse Jones, CZT - and you can see it here It's done by drawing inside auras, in the style of paradox. I don't know if she's named it, but "Paradent" might be a good name if she hasn't. :)
If you have a blog, add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here)
Also, please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)
If you don't have a blog but still want to participate, you can email your tile to me and i will post it here. (See the contact tab above for my email address). The deadline for each weekly challenge is Saturday night so that i can round everyone up by Sunday. What this means is that i will stop adding tiles to the slideshow on Sunday. You're still more than welcome to do the challenges and add your name to the linkey machine.
Hey - i should note here quickly that i try my best to get the slideshows up in a timely fashion, but sometimes my life gets in the way (like when Artoo spends a week in the hospital, just for example) so, please be patient. thanks. HUG
I will be more diligent with the linkey machine - by editing out the ones that don't work, the doubles, the links that lead to nowhere, the links that go just to blog home pages (this is why we need those site specific urls), and the spam. And there is some spam. PLEASE do not put your *home* page in the linkey machine... please? for me??
