Weekly Challenge #135

Happy Monday everyone!
First of all, as always - a few house keeping items:
  • If you're NEW here (and there've been a lot of new additions to the party!) I'm working on creating some tutorials to help you out.  You can click on the links above or:  See "Getting Started"  and "Tutorials
  • To see all the past weekly challenges - click the tabs above
  • Please grab the button for the Weekly Challenge (on the right  sidebar) to display on your blogs! share the fun!
  • The limit of submissions to the slideshow is TWO, but please feel free to post as many as you like to your blogs.  I will take the first two presented to each challenge.
  • I know that some of you have told me that the paypal button does not work, and some of you have had no trouble, i'm not sure why it's inconsistent, i've redone the code a few times... If all else fails you can donate to my paypal address which is madam_diva ( a t ) yahoo ( d o t ) com

Welcome back everyone.  I hope you've had a fine first week of September, my head is still reeling from the craziness that was our week.

Chewie started school - finally!  Which made me ridiculously excited, and anxious at the same time.  I worry about germs, with all of Artoo's health problems how could i not?  I'm trying to just take each day as it comes and carry on from there. Chewie loved his first half day of school.  When i picked up him he told me: "Mom! there are SO many NEW ACTIVITIES at Kindergarten!"

September also means that we are back to our rigorous therapy/appointment schedule for Artoo.  He had two appointments with specialists this week, as well as three therapy sessions.  The calendar is full up and complicated with color coding and code words the whole nine yards.  You almost need a degree in calendar-ology to follow along.

B-rad and i celebrated our 9th anniversary in a very quiet way this week.  I've been having dental work done all week, and so we just had some jello and watched some TV on the couch.  Happy Anniversary Baby!

We did get to sort of celebrate it this weekend though, at B-rad's cousin's wedding.

Bringing us up to Sunday where Chewie had his very first TaeKwon Do class.  I really think that this will be right up his alley.  He was very serious and listened very closely to everything the teacher said.  It's so cute.
Tae Kwon Do!
Weekly Challenge #135: New Official Tangle "Well"
Last week Rick and Maria released a new Official Tangle called "Well" in their newsletter.
I was pretty excited to try it!
It's another tangle with lots of ways to switch it up.  The challenge is to try out the new tangle "Well"
The step outs for this tangle can be found here.  Visit the Zentangle blog post here for more examples of Well.

Have a great week everyone!

If you have a blog, add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here)

Also,  please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)

If you don't have a blog but still want to participate, you can email your tile to me and i will post it here. (please send your submissions to weeklychallenge at mail dot com.... Not gmail, just mail... there started to be too many submissions in my personal mail box.  If you have a question or need clarification, please email me at the contact information provided above, but all submissions should go to the mail.com address...thank you!! sorry for any confusion).  I just ask that you put in the subject line:  Challenge # ________

The deadline for each weekly challenge is Saturday night so that i can round everyone up by Sunday. What this means is that i will stop adding tiles to the slideshow on Sunday. You're still more than welcome to do the challenges and add your name to the linkey machine.
I will be more diligent with the linkey machine - by editing out the ones that don't work, the doubles, the links that lead to nowhere, the links that go just to blog home pages (this is why we need those site specific urls), and the spam. And there is some spam.  PLEASE do not put your *home* page in the linkey machine... please? for me??

  5. Laura, Happy Anniversary to you and Brad. Haven't had much time for too many challenges these past few months, but I always have time to read your blog and see what is going on in your family. I love the tile you designed for Well, it is really beautiful. Happy for Artoo beginning school. Your boys seem to be so happy.

  9. Laura, As always it is a joy to read your family updates and see your Zentangle work. FYI...there seems to be a technical problem with the older slide shows......I had some time this week and I wanted to begin revisiting you challenges beginning with the first one. The slide shows are missing for challenges 1, 2 and 3 maybe more, but I didn't check past that point. I did check the link for the page where the slide sets were stored and got an error message that the page no longer exists. I just thought youo would want to know.

  11. Whoops–I posted my stippling link to the wrong Mr. Linkey list, and I don't know how to remove it. (It's the second "Caroline, CZT 11" and #79). Sorry for the mixup!
