I hope you all had a nice long weekend, those of you lucky enough to have one!
We celebrated Thanksgiving up here in Canada, and i was a busy bee this weekend. B-rad's grandmother is turning 90 this year, so there was a great big celebration this weekend with all the family flying in and traveling by car to celebrate. I was asked to 'volunteer' to put together the slideshow, so a lot of my week was focused on that, and what a big task that was. But it all came together in the end.
I was also asked if i would volunteer to take family photos on Saturday. They had booked a room at a hotel nearby for the family to have thanksgiving dinner together. So, i took the photos of Grandma and all of her children (6) and all of their families, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sunday afternoon we had a big gathering with all the extended family and friends and the slideshow went off without a hitch, luckily for me. :D
Monday afternoon was thanksgiving with my family at my older brother's house. I took family photos there too.

I just now realized i'm wearing the same sweater in both photos. lol
Weekly Challenge #140! "Monotangle, Pointillism style!"
Pointillism is an artistic style using tiny dots! Yep, tiny dots. It's not really a tangle, per se, but it's pretty fun to use in your tiles every now and then. So, the challenge this week is to create a tile using only tiny dots.
|tiny dots. nothing but tiny dots.|
I actually didn't use any shading in this piece, just my micron and tiny dots.
I can't wait to see what you do... with only tiny little dots.
If you have a blog, add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here)
Also, please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)
If you don't have a blog but still want to participate, you can email your tile to me and i will post it here. (See the contact tab above for my email address). I just ask that you put in the subject line: Challenge # ________
The deadline for each weekly challenge is Saturday night so that i can round everyone up by Sunday. What this means is that i will stop adding tiles to the slideshow on Sunday. You're still more than welcome to do the challenges and add your name to the linkey machine.
I will be more diligent with the linkey machine - by editing out the ones that don't work, the doubles, the links that lead to nowhere, the links that go just to blog home pages (this is why we need those site specific urls), and the spam. And there is some spam. PLEASE do not put your *home* page in the linkey machine... please? for me??
