Weekly Challenge #283

Good Tuesday Morning! I hope you all had a nice Labour Day Weekend.

Last week was a busy one, but i had the pleasure of meeting these lovely ladies for dinner

Helen Bzdel, Margaret Bremner, Lisa Heron and myself
it was a Saskatchewan CZT meetup!  And it was delightful! We ate at King Me Boardgamery, Margaret's husband's boardgame cafe.  The food was great, and we played a fun dice game and then did a bit of tangling in the round!! Hopefully we'll get the chance to get together again soon.

School started for my boys on Thursday - Chewie started the third grade this year

such a handsome boy.... Bowties are cool!
and my big boy Artoo started the first grade this year!! Like, where is the time going? Seriously!

First Grade for this big boy

oh, my heart.
Thursday was just a half day to get everyone started back into the swing of things, and their first FULL day was Friday.  After school i took the boys to the frozen yogurt place for celebratory froyo!

BIG SMILES
Grade one is quite an adjustment for Artoo - and day 1 was exhausting and it led to a few post-school melt downs, which led to his desire for a little cuddle on the couch, which led to a little post-school nap in my arms.  BEST DAY EVER.

he slept for maybe 5-6 minutes like this, but when he woke up he was much happier.  just needed a quick recharge
also this weekend B-rad and i celebrated our 12 wedding anniversary! Like, you guys, i love him so much.  He's the best man i've ever known and he's kind and generous and sexy as hell.  ;)

I have been sick the past few days so our anniversary was low key, we went to a matinee (OMG go and see Kubo and the Two Strings... go and see it.  go right now. It's so beautiful - and stop animated!!!) and had BBQd burgers for dinner with the kids and then cuddled on the couch.  No one else in the world i'd rather lounge around in my jammies with than this guy right here.

b-rad, i love you man.

speaking of not feeling all that great, i spent a good portion of labour day waiting in the doctor's office to find out that i don't have pneumonia.  guess who has bronchitis? Yeah, it's me.  at least it's not pneumonia.

here's hoping i feel better soon! let's get on with the challenge!!

Weekly Challenge #283: "UMT: Centre Square by Aleesha Sattva CZT"
Here we are, the first Monday (in today's case TUESDAY) of the month so that means Use My Tangle (UMT) where we try our hand at one of tangles that you've created.

This week's UMT is another grid based tangle by my friend Aleesha!  You can see the step outs for her tangle here

what a fun dramatic tangle!

For those of you who are new, the first Monday of every month is a Use My Tangle Challenge, where the challenge of the week is to use a tangle created by one of you!  If you have a tangle you'd like to submit you can add it here and be sure that it follows the guidelines for submission.

Have a great week!

And if you're on the Zentangle Mosaic App, - i'm @iamthediva - come on by and follow me, and i'm going to be using hashtags on the app for each of my weekly challenges.  So if you're game - use the hashtag #DC283 (Diva Challenge #283) for your tile this week!  You can also search in the app for people's contributions to the challenge by clicking on the hashtag from inside the app, or using the search function.

If you have a blog or host your images on line (like on Flickr or Picassa or Pinterest), add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here) Also, please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)

I often am not that keen on geometric type tangles but I had fun with this one. I took some inspiration from a travelling tile Ria sent me.
