Weekly Challenge #309

Good Morning all!

And a very happy Monday to you!

Thank you all so much for your well wishes.  I'm feeling so much better now.

We celebrated my mama's 59th birthday with the family this week.  Isn't she cute?

Blow out the candles!
I had a very productive week and went through all the books in the house and made a big donation to my mom's community school - where they have a "free book fair" to make sure that every kid has books at home.  I feel good about the books going to someone who will read them and love them.  And then i also cleaned out a large box of books to be donated to our local Symphony's book sale.

The boys had a short school week because of Parent/Teacher interviews.  Both boys had excellent report cards and their teachers had nothing but wonderful things to say.  They are pretty great kids, if i do say so myself.

So Friday - on their day off from school -  we found a box of Christmas Crackers that i forgot about at Christmas time, so we took turns pulling them and laughing at the snapping sound - the boys loved the jokes inside, and especially the paper crowns.
Chewie is a Rainbow Prince
look how cute these little guys are.  oh, my heart.

Pull, mom!
\On the weekend i went to Gardenscapes (a gardening trade show) with my friend Tara, and we spent over 4 hours wandering around and looking at bulbs and i bought some vegetable seeds and some cala lily bulbs, i'm so excited for the weather to cooperate so i can get into my flower beds and clean them up!  (Something 22 year old Laura thought i'd never say... hahaha)

Chewie had bowling on Sunday and i'm so impressed at how much stronger he's gotten over this year.  He gets so frustrated sometimes because he doesn't remember where he was when he started.  But he's made really great improvements.

my little bowler
And one of my favourite things lately has been hanging out in the studio with this little man.
He's becoming my partner in crime, and when i go downstairs to paint or draw, he likes to come with me and draw along side me.

Check out this amazing drawing of Kermit the Frog! I mean, it's just too cute!!

i have all the prouds

Weekly Challenge #309: "New Official Tangle: Noom"
This week the Zentangle Mothership sent out their latest newsletter, and inside the newsletter are the step outs for the new tangle called "Noom" (You can find the tangle and the step outs here)

This is another tangle that they shared back in November for ZenAgain, and now it's public for everyone to love and enjoy!!

I enjoy this tangle, although i will admit that i need a bit of practice to really make it my own.

Noom!

OOH  - also i'm working on a little sumthin' sumthin' over here at Casa Diva, which i think is going to be pretty cool... i hope to have all the pieces in place soon, so stay tuned!!!

have a great week!

And if you're on the Zentangle Mosaic App or Instagram - i'm @iamthediva - come on by and follow me, and i'm going to be using hashtags on the app for each of my weekly challenges. So if you're game - use the hashtag #DC309(Diva Challenge #309) for your tile this week! You can also search in the app for people's contributions to the challenge by clicking on the hashtag from inside the app, or using the search function.

If you have a blog or host your images on line (like on Flickr or Picassa or Pinterest), add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here) Also, please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)

If you love the challenge as much as i do, please consider leaving a tip (tip jar in the side bar).  I write this blog for free and have no plans to make it a paid for service in the future.  Buy me a cup of coffee, or a new Micron pen!! Click the tip jar on the side for a monthly tip, but if you just wanna throw a few bucks my way THIS LINK will give you a one time option.    A very big thank you to those who have kept me in hot cups of joe. ;)
